You guys are lucky. I've registered to Technorati last month but still cannot use it. I can't even upload an avatar for my profile due to its server problem etc.

The technorati monster is escaping a lot...You just need to be persistent. I found that a fast link helps, so stick to DSL whenever possible for the registration and posting.
If you are having problems, discard your current account and start fresh, from a fast link. Create an account, claim a blog, and update the code for the claim to work. After that, things generally get easier. Ping it several times, to get technorati updated.

There's a coincidence! Just this morning I was thinking about Technorati - how getting linked up there used to be so important for traffic and link building, because it was so many bloggers' first stop for blog news. Now I can't remember the last time I even logged in, ditto for lots of blogging friends, and one can't help feeling that Technorati has well and truly jumped the shark.

This morning Technorati is going about it's usual fu*ups (excuse my french). My blog was reduced to rank 3,900,162. I left it for a couple of hours, now it's at rank 350,268, where it was yesterday...
There are things that need to be addressed at technorati and fast. This way, a lot of people will just loose trust and leave it.

I'm using DSL but still -eh- with Technorati. I'll try to delete my current account and create a new one. Will see how it goes.

I think technorati is one site that is probably worth pinging manually it doesnt always seem to register when things are done on auto.

My blog also seems to jump around a bit when it comes to ranking. It's rather annoying though.

I give up. I've tried several times but failed. Nonetheless I think I can survive well without Technorati.
