Lightbulb Which web host is perfect for a poor Wordpress Blogger?

I met a problem with my current host about the stability. So I would like to change it. There is no special requirements for my blog.

Cheap, Stable, Fast... Big space is a waste for me.

Please advise.

You want to go with the Baby. The hatchling is $4.95 for 1 website. The baby is $7.95 for UNLIMITED WEBSITES .

It's worth it. heck host a site for a friend for $5 a month and now it costs you $3 a month for unlimited blogs... Not bad.

Yes, Hostgator is good and quite easy to use. I'm on a larger plan as I host several sites for myself and clients. Godaddy might be another one to check out. There are heaps of low cost hosting out there these days.

I think the average budget for an affordable hosting now is $6-$7, most of the leading providers offer unlimited domains and other extra features that would make you happy.

The competition is very strong, so if you look for stability, go with one of the top competing providers. They simply cannot afford being unstable with this kind of competition!

I'm using Hostmonster, and it's been good till now.

But the $7.95 per month price tag I believe is only valid for 3 or more years deal. 2 years deal will cost you $8.95 per month and 1 year deal will cost you $9.95. It's still a much better plan than the Hatchling, gives you many possibilities.

If it's in your budget I highly recommend it. You could "rent" hosting to 1 or 2 friends and pay it back easily.

If you want paid hosting, but have a tight budget, I'd check out A Small Orange. I'm using Hostgator too, but the problem is you have to (at least we did) put down the full payment for one or two years at once. A Small Orange has hosting for $25 per year.

I hate to share this, but there are many cheap hostings on DigitalPoint. There is shared hosting as cheap as $1 per year (I actually bought one myself, and considering whether to buy another one just for play or gift to friend...) and reseller hosting as cheap as $20 per year.

Check out these threads:
ForciumHosting - Web Hosting for $1 A Year // Reseller Hosting for $3 A Month!
Addictive Hosting - 100GB Storage & 1,000GB Bandwidth- $20.00/yearly
Addictive Hosting - Reseller Hosting - $15.00/yearly

Both the packages I mentioned are limited. I have no affiliations with them whatsoever and unsure about the stability, but the $1 dollar hosting is a steal, well if you aren't buying the limited quantity, I might have more time to think if I needed another account, hehe

Do check them out though, what can you buy with $1 nowadays?
