Default Worpress Time Stamp

I just found out that you can create many posts in one day and have them published automatically to your blog at a time that you specify.
This is absolutely wonderful!

Do any of you use this feature?

I have yet to use this feature but what you are referring to is called Future Posts. Blogger has been extremely late to the party but they have finally added that feature to their own blogging system.

All of the bigger writers I know that use WordPress use the Future Posts feature and it's been a life saver for them.

Talking

Timestamp in wordpress is great.

But, I don't know if they'd fixed this in 2.5, but in earlier versions it would ping all the defined services (Google, RSS, etc..) when you hit publish, no matter what was the time stamp was.

This would create broken links till the post is actually published.
There's a plugin to solve this though. I use MaxWordPress Ping Optimizer.

This plugin also prevents pinging after editing your posts. This is a big plus for me, since I constantly edit and improve on my posts after publishing.

ENJOY!

I use it fequently, as I can get lots of posts done on the weekend, and set themto publish every two days so I don't have to worry about my blog during the busy weeks.

I'm also going to make great use of this feature when I'm away doing work experience with cattle. I won't be able to post, butthe blog will keep ticking over nicely.

Now Blogger has also introduced scheduled posts feature. It works fine and I'm testing it on my test blog, before using it for my main blog.
