I submitted feeds to a couple of sites a few weeks ago and saw my subscriber base double, so it does work! I'll go through all of these and try them as well. Thanks!

I paid a guy $10 from DigitalPoint to submit my site to 200 directories. It seemed to work. Not all directories accepted me, but it was still easily worth the $10.

I've gotten to page 1 for "travel blog".
