Default Reinventing your image/topic

Hola Mi Amigos,

I've had my website for several years now, never being able to settle on one purpose for it. I've gone the gambit from a hosting company, website design, internet marketing, comic book publisher (a passion of mine), and now I think I'm happy in the blogosphere.

I blame my ADD (oohh, look at the pretty lights) for not being able to (again) settle on one topic. People tell me, write what you know. Well, I don't know alot about any one thing...I'm something of a Jim-of-all-trades. I want to reinvent my site's image...honestly not sure how to do it.

At the moment it's turned into a place to house a personal appeal for assistance...and was thinking about maybe adapting that into a theme for the site, someplace people can ask for help. I know, not very original...but then again what is anymore?

But, I digress...

Any advice on reinventing your image and/or settling on a topic?

Thanks again,

Jim

I am feeling exactly the same way right now. I have blogs, but can't settle in on a topic. I know it's hurting the readership of my blog as well. Good luck with your search.

The only advice I have is, blog about what you know, or find out more about what you don't know, then blog

Well if you have several things that you really want to write about, then maybe you should consider opening up another blog. Like your comic book publishing passion shouldn't really go with the others. And if you're wanting to completely switch gears and go into the advice-giving area, then maybe giving your site a makeover would help out. Reinvent a logo, come up with your new slogan, tweak your design, and then let your readers know where you've turned your attention. Then begin marketing it as such elsewhere.

Are we talking about a blog or website here. If you are blogging, and use wordpress, then just add specific categories, and make your main blog title more general. Otherwise with blogger for expample, just start a new blog for each topic. Just make sure you can keep up with having multiple blogs.
