Background question

Do you think having a black background for your blog makes it harder to read, or does it make it easier?

I think it makes it harder for many. Some blogs 'can' pull it off, but it's one of those mistakes that "noobs" make when thinking that black backgrounds are cool....they're usually overdone and not that special so unless it 'really' works for your blog, go for something lighter than stark black (even a dark color or gray is better usually).

I like the look of it, I am a fan of black, and had 1/2 and 1/2 mixed on the black background, but I also had a lot of orange, and it looked frightening. I had it cleaned up and toned down.

I do like yours though, it flows quite nicely.

I usually don't like a black background on a site but it looks pretty good on yours. It is easier to read than most of the ones I have seen.

I think very few blogs can pull it off. Most of them have text that's far too fine and light to read on a black background so it makes it hard for any visitor with vision problems to read them. You've got larger text which does make it easier to read and it does look good, but I still find it hard on my eyes. Those who don't wear glasses to read would probably find it ok.
