c'mon, how many of you would be donating or donated? except the admin who is only telling that he would donate for good descriptive information or a walk thru.

Personaly me would never donate, as I spent lots of time and efforts to make that buck so I am not that rich at the moment to give away to someone.

People dont donate much, but its a shame if you would miss out on any possible donation wouldnt it? and its just a small button on your blog.. in my eyes its worth the space it takes on my blog.

The only time I've seen donation buttons being effective, was for blogs that host illegal content and say they need donations to cover server costs

I've seen donation amounts anywhere from $100-$400 per month O_o

But that's probably irrelevant since no one at bloggeries forum is doing illegal activity

I believe in giving. By that I mean that I really do think life is best when we give, and it's when we give that we also feel the richest. Funny thing too: The more I give the more I seem to get. And that's the truth.

To be honest, though, I haven't really given that much to blogs yet. I give some money away here and there, just haven't been sponsoring bloggers much. I'm going to start doing that, though. (So get those donation buttons up, people! )

I actually bought my hosting and domain name off of a paypal donation. I had a donation button on my wordpress.com and one of my readers donated a hundred bucks and I purchased my web stuff with it.

I've heard that if you make your own paypal button and have the donation amount for like 3 dollars and you say "help me buy an everyday item" (coffe, energy drinks, candy bar) if you do something like that I have heard people are more willing to put 3 bucks in then to donate big sums of money.

Wow that particular reader of yours sure is generous lucky you!

Wish I have such luck, will test it out by adding a button of my own soon hehe, or maybe the 'my top spot' widget...
