When posting in a forum like this we don't encourage posting to bloggeries like that but if you make a good one it is considered a contribution to the knowledge base of the forum so it's acceptable.

Write a descriptive term with keywords people would search put together in a clever descriptive fashion. Catchy titles pull people; descriptive ones pull engines. catchy descriptive ones pull both

Also try ending your blogs with a question of sorts.

Interesting ideas. I have a blog that has been getting some exposure (for someone who does not care that much). However, no one who comes, posts. I don’t know why.

I will try to implement some of these tips.

I do agree with the other person who posted, about nuking the Google rating. I feel that that is important since most people use Google. And the whole point to having a blog is having people read it. If that was not the point then we could just write stuff in Word and save it.

to get people commenting on my articles i search on google for related articles and place comments on those articles with a linkback to my article. i also found out that actually starting discussions on forums/blogs wherever generates tons of comments on your own article...

the people are not blind, you just need to point them in the right direction. (your direction)

I got increased comments on my personal blog by going and commenting on other similar blogs. I participated in some photohunts and got some regular commenters out of that. I tried to find 10 new blogs a day, with a similar tone to mine, and commented on their blog. If someone comments on my blog, I always go over and see their blog and comment. It was a lot of work, but my traffic and my comments are on the rise...and as a side benefit, I found a handful of other blogs that I enjoy and visit regularly.

Good tips, I agree that by commenting on similar blogs you can pull a lot of nice comments from the other bloggers.
Another great way is to mention other blogs in some of your posts.
