Here is a newbie question. I am not getting any blank lines in my blog posts. I have tried adding <br> and <p> formating. I don't remember having this problem in the past on other little blog but I am using a custom template here.

Not sure if this is the fix but where are you writing your entries? Write them in word; cut and paste into NOTEPAD then make sure you recopy from note pad so copy something else paste it to make sure then copy the whole thing from notepad then apply and it should work I think... Give that try.

Did this get solved? I can't do a double blank line on my blog, but I'm 99% certain it's something in the CSS style sheet.

No, the problem is still outstanding. The CSS style sheet sounds like the place to look. The formatting looks fine in Wordpress but not in the final posting. I'm using a custom interface.

Do you use your blog's software editor? Often editors from Blogger or Wordpress will get rid of extra spaces. That's why ideally you write and finish the post..go to html editor..add your <br> tags but do NOT go back to the rich text editor. Going back will most likely delete the extra br tags simply because the blog's editor is set up that way. |

I have had the same issue and this is what I have done. I just added a class for <p> tag with property/value margin-bottom: 10px; It worked for me...))
