I have some questions regarding a blog post I have made. 1 If you use false information when you register a domain or a website. What will happen if someone reports you to the registrar or host? Will you lose the domain or lose your hosting? 2 What would be the best way to report a site that is hosted in China. Is there any use doing so? Or will the hosts just laugh at you? 3 Has any of you had any experience with paypal and how they react to complaints? You can find the article here. Another way of striking at them | Rmtexposed Daniel |

Paypal are useless for online deals. I lost a domain for $650.00 and they told me to go to WIPO... which charges $1,500 just to get your case heard

1. As far as I know, it will just mean if any one challenges your ownership of the domain, you're screwed. If you've got fake credentials, and someone else claims to be that person, well, you just lost your domain. 2. For the most part they probably won't care. All that matters to the hosts is their bill. Getting reported to an ISP may be a bigger concern, you may get blocked at that level. 3. I haven't had problems with Paypal. Its not terribly different than any other payment system, like accepting credit cards directly. I've heard a lot of horror stories though, mainly when someone is collect money from more questionable services, or something which *potentially* could be against their TOS, and having the accounts closed without receiving the money. Most of that kind of stuff, when I've heard of Paypal taking action, is from people who host Torrents and the like having their accounts closed with several thousand dollars in them. |
