You might want to at least consider other tlds. Something like blogwith.us would be great, except that its taken.

'Blog' is a very popular term and a lot of people have registered blog domains so you might have to be quite inventive. Try a website called DomainsBot.com which allows you to search for permutations of the key words you give it. Only advice is try to stick to .com or the extension of the country you live in (i.e. .us) unless you can create a memorable name the way Skolor suggests. |

| Those are always cool and it's mainly us old timers who are all hung up exclusively on .com people of younger generations as time goes on will prefer these and an extension is just an extension...

Unfortunately, I am convinced that when people try to remember the name of a site they automatically try the .com version of that name first. So, if I was trying to find this site I would type in Bolggeries.com, first. So if the site was actually on Bloggeries.net you would loose a proportion of traffic to the .com version of the domain name. The more popular my .net site became the more traffic would go to the .com in error when trying to find my site from memory. Over time this could be a significant number of visitors. |

I usually just spend 10-20 mins searching through suggestions in the godaddy domain name smart search. I know there might be better ways, but hey, it works well enough. I would just have a brain storm session and write down 25 terms that you would like to have in a domain name. Then just scramble them until you get something that works! Good luck
