how to add appropriate META at my home improvement blog? i got this at other blogger and i copy this code.
is this ok or any suggestion and any comment??

meta tags are used for getting high SERP for your site. Genereally small search engines which are old use meta tags for getting search results. Also many search engines still use that. Search engines dont rely completly on meta tags but they use meta for determining their search results.

Yeah, meta tags help. They're just one form of SEO, they're not great, and they won't generate traffic, but at least you'll know your page will be on the results page *someplace* if someone searches for the terms.

I think the meta tags help quite a great deal.

Google does not use the keywords field but all the other search engines do.

If you play your cards right you can get to the top of some searches just by using a meta tag strategy along with including the same keywords in the title of your posts.

When I look to see if a website has been search engine optimized yet the first thing I do it look a the meta tags. If the title is just the name of the company then you know a SEO expert has not been there. If you use Wordpress just use a plugin to make your job easier using the same things you learned from the link above.

Another thing you can do is to change the anchor text in your sig file to your main keyword and link it back to your blog and continue commenting on topics here that are of interest to you.

thankyou for the link...now my signature is main keyword for my meta.. but i still dont think its not unique enough.. home improvement idea. but is ok, how to know the meta is working fine? i set, robot follow, revesited in 7 days.. is the robot will visit? 1 day or 7 days is the best?

It doesn't get you Alexa ratings... but there are helpful ways to increase your Alexa rating, but Alexa is inaccurate to begin with.

But meta tags are primarily used for search engine spiders to crawl your site...
