Something I joined but haven't gotten round to investigating yet is BlogCatalog.

Since I joined, around two dozen people added me as friends. I got a notification e-mail for each one.

I deleted most of these e-mails, and only just now realised they all contain a link for me to reciprocate and become friends with them.

I didn't realise this was necessary before, a bit silly of me, but I thought when one person added me as their friend, they automatically became my friend too.

Is there any way to find out who these people are?
The ones who have added me as a friend and been ignored.

Scratch that, I think I just found out.

It was rather easy in the end, one of those moments where you can't see the wood for the trees.

After I added a blog to my profile on BlogCatalog I got around 1,000 page views in the same day. The traffic died off from there but it was nice to have the 1,000 visitors.

I think Blogcatalog is a good way to build your readership. But quite honestly, those Broadcasts by the dozen gets pretty annoying lol!

I joined there a couple weeks go when my blog was new and they turned me down for not enough content. I just re-submitted my blog, I have no idea how much content they require.

it also happened to my sites.. but, when i resubmit it they approved it immediately!..

I think there are a few people over there at blogcatalog that think they own the place! If this could change it really could be a better community. I mean I’m not about to mention names but you know who and or who they are...

I find it hard to have positive conversations there because of these few people!

I resubmitted my site and they rejected me for not having the widget. I removed it when they rejected me the first time. I re-installed the widget and sent them an e-mail asking if they were busting my balls on purpose and now my site is listed.

I had the same response from Blog Catalog. They sent an email saying that I didn't have the code on my site and I did. So I resubmitted my blog and they accepted it.
