Adding video's to my blog

I am trying to add a youtube video to appear in a blog post. I have copied the embed code from youtube and have copied it into my post in code view. When I save my post there is no video or even space for a video there and when I click on edit the code has vanished.

Any ideas, I am using a hosted wordpress blog.

You may need a YouTube plug in for it to work? If you don't already have one, here is a link. WordPress › WP YouTube « WordPress Plugins

Hmmmm. Thank you for that. The blog I want to include it in is one I don't have access to upload to. Guess i'll have to settle for a link to youtube.

Or, you need to turn off your rich text editor if you choose not to use the plugin.

This can be found under:
Users
Profile
Uncheck the box that says "Use visual editor when writing".

That has worked thank you very much. Removing the rich text editor did the trick.
