This may be a question that was covered somewhere, but during my entrecard morning drop I have been trying to actually read and comment on several of the blogs of interest. Being that some of them are Blogger accounts, I can not do so.. I don't have a blogger account. Can someone explain this.. or am I just missing something ? |

It depends on the blog and who 'they' allow to comment on their blogs. On many, you can comment anonymously...or you can use your OpenID to log in and comment (you should see those spots listed in their comment section). Some don't want that, though, and have it restricted to only those with google/blogger accounts.

If you want to comment on those anyway, it doesn't hurt any to sign up for a blogger name/account. Put your site's name on the profile page so that people can click through to your blog/site to follow you back....it's a bit of initial hassle, but with so many people using Blogger (and unfortunately, too many of them having their settings that block anonymous users), you can benefit from having one to use for commenting.

If I can find a contact link, I drop an email to those bloggers who have their blogs set for only people with a blogger account to comment. I find that quite often they don't know they are set up that way.

Well, it's true. Discussion on the blog really depends on the blogger. If he won't allow OPEN ID commenting, that means that you have to have a blogger account before you could comment. I think that it's their way of avoiding spammers. ____________________________ I think Autopartswarehouse needs a make-over so I'm gonna give Autopartswarehouse a treat |
