Default Robot.txt File

I don't know much about them so maybe you can help. I know you can use them to block certain search engines from crawling certain areas of your site or just not letting some search engines crawl it(Like ones that index your images and stuff).

So do you think they are worth it. I paid someone 30ec to make me one so I' gonna see if it helps if it doesn't it I'll just delete it.

Can the Robot.txt file do good for your SEO also instead of blocking search engines?

Just some questions I had.

The robots.txt file can provide a big SEO boost, by disallowing the areas of your blog that produce duplicate content.

Best of luck

Ditto what Paul said. That's the primary use of robots.txt for bloggers. You can do similar things in Wordrpess with suitable plugins.
