It depends on the geo-traffic stats I think. If you have a blog frequently visited by US visitors, then you probably can post according to US timing. But I don't think that will make a huge difference anyway |

Hey! I think it depends on how many posts you do a day. If you do several, then you have to think about the first one being pushed down by the new ones, and try to adjust so that your first post would be posted when the first wave of traffic hits. Use Google Analytics what's going on. However, if you post once a day or less, then it really doesn't matter. What does matter is whether you post on weekend or not. There are advantages and disadvantages to posting during weekends, and if that is something that you'd like to explore I've just posted an article about it this weekend :icon_twisted: |

In a perfect world I'd post everyday at 9AM EST. Just when the office crew is getting in and this way it will be in the RSS reader or atleast already online when all the west coast guys wake up.

I like to have my posts set with an edited timestamp to be launched at 7-8AM EST. But this is really just a preference... I never really considered that the timing of a blog post might actually affect how many readers you pull. I'll look into this.

Because what I post isn't usually time sensitive, it makes no real difference to me if I post at 3 in the morning (because it's there when people get up) or 3 in the afternoon (they can see it the next day if they've already stopped reading blogs for the day).

I try to span the posts throughout the day. I have my feedburner deliver the email updates before 9AM each day. That way if they don't use a reader, they will have yesterdays posts right away the next morning. I think I might look into having all my posts time stamped for early next day and see what that does for a month or so. Good suggestions here. |
