What's Your Blogging Routine

I am new to blogging and I don't have a routine yet. Please give me some suggestions or share your routines that work for you.

Mine is:

Drop cards on Entrecard top 300
Comment on my fave blogs
Think of something to blog about
Look around my blog for things to change
Backup my database

I dont really have one... Wish i did.

Backing up database is a good part of a routine.

I normally back it up using Gmail. It is a good way to store things and keep it all safe

Agreed isn't gmail simply the best in terms of space and ease of search ability!

Yea, I also use it as a harddrive for images and files I need when i am out... It has saved me many times!

Since I post mostly based on news (I run TV fan sites) - I spend my morning going through all of the news that's emailed to me and what's on my rss feeds. I've learned to use Windows Live Writer and this is a boon because I can choose news bits from my email and paste them in a window to wait for me to blog about them.

Once I've gone through the news I start blogging. And I keep on blogging until all the news is sent to the proper blog then I start all over again the next day.

If you're using WordPress, you can automate your database backups. My blog sends me a backup every night, but you can less frequently if you're confident.

There's a good plugin that will automate the whole process for you and send you the file by email daily/weekly..

I use wp-db-backup (as mentioned in that article) and it's great. Definitely recommended.
