I don't know how to vary the text in my posts much, or even how much variation is possible with the WordPress software. I see bold, italic, strikethrough, and that's about it. Can I make the basic text of a post bigger? Smaller? Different colors? The same way I can while posting in this forum? In particular, look at THIS recent post. I would like to be able to set off the text I quoted form the article, to make it more clear which words are mine, and which are someone else's. On some blogs, I see this done by having the quoted text in a box, just like quoted text in a forum. Is this possible? Is there a list of usable code somewhere I can reference?

You just use basic html to format your post to look how you want it to look. You are not limited to the options you see. They just add the code for you.

| I guess I'm showing how dumb I am here. I don't know html, lol. I mean, I can see what tags get added when I make posts on a forum. Do I just use the same tags I see here, for quotes, size, etc.?

Try the code option when you write a new post and you can use Simple tags like <font color=xxx> and <font size=x> and so on.

You can even add those digg icons or social networking icons to your blog post.
