Dynamic Sidebar

Is there a way to add columns more sections to the dynamic sidebar? I am talking of the one on my site that has the Meta..if I wanted to put something before or after that, I seem unable to do so.

If you don't have any available Widgets, you will have to either find a new theme that does, or edit the PHP files, which you will have to continue to do each time you upgrade the software.

Yeah sort of figured that I would have to edit the php.. I have available widgets, but they do not show up on the left side..and I am pretty fresh out of the blogwomb - so I thought I would throw it out there, I have edited the sidebar.php for the right sidebar to look as it does, but I can't get nuttin' to show up on the left.. I guess I need more reading time!
