How many times to post in a day ?

Very interesting subject. I've been posting 3x per day since I started my blog. I had heard previously that once per day was sufficient but quite a few of my posts are rather short, or snippets of information for the readers. I guess if you're going to write a very long detailed article style entry, then one would probably work. But if you have a blog that offers tips, pictures, humor or something that only takes the reader a minute to read, then 2-3 posts wouldn't be overkill.

I just installed "Statpress" plugin for Wordpress on my blog. Does anyone know whether or not that tracks the exact posts that readers read? I guess it would be nice to know specifically what your readers are sticking around for and paying the most attention to.

One post a day is ideal according to me. If you can give more than 1 post a day then it's great.

I would agree with that, on my entertainment site I am sometimes at 10 posts a day

I am not using the plugin, but I just had a look at the plugin page and I suppose it does indeed give the stats for the total visits for each page in your blog.

Honestly, I don't post every day lol... I think it all depends on your niche. I know someone that only post TWICE a WEEK and she has almost 5,000 subscribers and gets over 100,000 pageviews a month.

Since I started, I've been posting once a day save the weekends. I also noticed that, as I look around the blogosphere, many bloggers don't post new articles on the weekends.

I try to write every other day. I've found that weekend traffic is lower, so you may want to write Mon-Fri and take a break on the weekend. Instead of writing a post for those two days, perhaps take that time to promote it? This routine has been working for me.

This is more curiosity then anything else but if the purpose behind a blog/site is to make money would it not be better to post more often to get more exposure to your ads or what have you?
