http://www.bloggeries.com/blog has really picked up since doing daily posts. Makes sense right? I'll come to a site and if it doesn't have a new one daily eventually I forget about it. It's the net afterall and there are LOT's of alternatives!

It sure is great to see everyone jumping on board. I hope everyone reports back on their progress and success to see how it worked out.

Alan

Good ideas travel fast Alan .

I was doing it but I can't today due to a) forgotten laptop cord and b) business obligations. I was doing it daily and not only was I getting more traffic; subscribers ... I found it became a lot easier. Practice makes perfect!

I'm so doing this. So far I've blogged an average of 3 times per day since launched (being a blogging addict now), but I'll probably be posting if this results in success or not sometime soon...

What I am learning is that there isnt one magic bullet that is going to do the trick. To be successful you have to work your ass off doing ALL the things mentioned. It involves setting up your page for SEO, writing every day, commenting on everything, submitting to directories, pushing your content every direction possible, etc.

Its a lot of hard work, but it can be done. (I hope)

Very true, no magic formula, just hard work and sometimes luck. I think especially with the growing number of blogs this only means that it gets harder, but ah well, I like a challenge

Very true; this is the internet; if you're not blogging and promoting ... You can be sure that someone else in your field is and the spoils go to he / she who puts in the work. The net gives access to everyone but as a result is a hyper competitive field especially if it involves "Money" at all imo.

Judge,

Yes, making money online is hard work and while there are those rare individuals that make insane amounts of money, there is also a very good amount to be made by just doing the basics and showing up every day.

A good example of what I mean by that is when I was working in my mlm business (I don't recommend anyone do mlm) there were very basic things to be done that people just didn't do. We learned that if you wanted to be in the top 10% of mlmers all you had to do was show up, if you wanted to be in the top 5% you had to show up on time. The top 2% showed up on time and were prepared.

Translated into blogging and affiliate marketing probably the top 10% blog at least 5 times a week, the top 5% blog 5 times a week and leave 20 comments on blogs, the top 2% add 2 more posts per week, 10 comments, 15 or 20 forum posts and 1 article per week posted to directories.

While the top 1% get into the very nitty gritty, there is a lot of money to be made in the 90 to 99% of really very basic stuff, it just has to be done. You do have to work hard, but just visit other blogs and affiliate web sites and see that even the basics aren't being done. I'm encouraged by that because I see huge opportunity all the time in niches that aren't being exploited in that 9%.

Do the 90 to 99% and figure out the 1% when you get the 99% under your belt.

Alan

I think you pick up a rhythm where you start posting every day, if you make it a habit.
