Using a picture gallery to get more traffic

For a few years I have had some fun taking pictures. And this in turn has gotten me quite some traffic on my blog.

My main interests when I take pictures are trains buses and trucks.
So whenever I take a few pictures and upload them I visit various forums dedicated to trains buses and trucks. And tells them that I have updated my gallery. And the good thing is that there is a forum or website that you can show off any kinds of picture. Got a dog take some pictures of him and show them to some of the dog lovers forums out there. Got a nice car most likely there is a forum where you can show it off.

As time goes by some of these pictures will rank high in googles picture search. And you get more traffic and not to mention of your pictures are really really good. People will bookmark your gallery and visit from time to time.

The good thing about wordpress is that you get several gallery plugins. These integrates with your blog, so ads will behave just like on your main pages.

I do display a Flickr plugin on my blog, and I get traffic from Flickr as well.

I don't have a gallery but I do put images in my blog reviews. We get a lot if not MOST traffic to reviews through forums. Apart from basic blog review searches and some that bring direct posts.

NBA DUNKS is a big one for us.

For a gallery would be cool if you travel take photos then search what people are searching for those spots and make the titles accordingly Or do that first and find what they are looking for lol.

I receive nearly half of my traffic from Google Images. It is a good idea to host your images there to increase your traffic.

I get quite a bit of traffic from image searches. Sadly enough, the biggest set of images that bring me hits are from a post about anorexia.
