Default Wordpress Update and Using Hawkhost

I got a message after signing into the wp admin - 2.3.2 update, can any one direct a novice to some directions on upgrading. I use hawkhost and am not quite sure how to go about updating.

I'd backup your information and run the upgrade if possible if not just contact the support at hawk host. They have always been helpful to me.

I have not used it but, there is a plugin that upgrades your wordpress install.
Zirona :: OpenSource Consulting » The InstantUpgrade plugin

I'm old fashion I believe in manually doing everything.

Best of luck

I've used the plugin on a fantastico-installed Wordpress before. It's a bad idea...the upgrade works fine, but then when fantastico is updated with the new version it emails you constantly wanting you to upgrade (which you've already done outside of fantastico).

Thanks everyone for your input! I am waiting to see what happens with the fantastico - and will try it through the upgrade within the cpanel.

skleiner,

Thanks for making this post. I too am on Hawkhost, and I have been putting off upgrading my wordpress due to a case of "I am too lazy" to do it.

If you notice that the fantastico upgrade option is available kindly let me know. If I notice it I will let you know as well.

Upgrading can be a serious pain!
