Default Sitemaps & Robots

Can someone direct me to a reliable page regarding both of those. I did upload a sitemap last weekend for the blog - no problems - not on either blog -

I am now getting a error 404 for the trade show blog - Ive done both of them the same, and do not know what the gig is.

Thanks & Happy Holidays!

There doesn't seem to be a problem with marshall-yard.com. Your sitemap is in the correct location with no error messages.

Sitemaps tell Google, Ask, Yahoo, MSN, etc. where everything is, so they can crawl and index your site more quickly and effectively, thus bringing you traffic sooner. It's good for everyone involved.

Google has a really good site map generator plugin for wordPress. It will update the sitemap each time yo make a change. You can get the newest plugin here...

Google (XML) Sitemaps Generator for WordPress

They are almost a must have to aid your SE problems.

It appears that you can not add a site map to Google's BlogSpot.

You must have access to their server and that's not likely to happen in our life cycle.

Here's a link to BlogSpot Help about the site map problem with google's BlogSpot that is dated 11/22/07

You might try a search in their "Help" section and with a bit of luck find something that will lead you in the right direction.
