Is it possible to post too often?

I find some days are better than others for writing pillar articles. What I do is try to limit to two a day and a few in between posts, but for the most part I take advantage of the 'writing spree' by using the publish date in the future, some days I can crank out a weeks worth of articles, all set to post one a day for a week. I try to keep my blog at least one day in the future, that way if something comes up I don't have to miss a day of regular posting.

I'm fairly new at blogging but I think that if you have a number of different blogs then a schedule is a must.

Two or three times a week would keep you from getting bogged down with posting oh-hums. Quality can go down the tubes once something becomes monotonous.

As I see it, if your blog is just a hobby then quite often is good. However, if you want a money maker then you had better maintain quality.

Just a thought.

well i have tried out this and i have concluded that you should post a day.

however it gets difficult to post a day sometimes,but if i skip one day i try to consolidate it by posting two posts the other day.

make a strong decision of posting a post per day...i will do it too sometime later

moreover,the adsense revenue in my opinion depends on your content.if you have a bundle of content your adsense ads will me much reasonable and targeted,keeping in mind that you are following your blog theme.i don't know if i am right because adsense is very tricky.but i told you what i learned through my experience

The content should really dictate the posting frequency. News or entertainment sites will be several or more per day, but others may be less frequent. The quality is also a factor -- I just unsubbed from a site that had gotten to be 4-5 or say a day, but 1 decent post, some outsourced ho-hum content, and the majority of articles being about the giveaway (don't forget there's a giveway, still time to enter, blah blah, etc.) and it was a huge turnoff. Promotion is a necessary part of getting more readers, but when it replaces content you have a problem.

I was overzealous in the beginning, posting erratically several times a day. An SEO friend of mine politely told me to give it a rest and start post-dating entries if I just had to write.

So, I shoot for once a day, but don't beat myself up for doing less. Also, I've been trying to be consistent with my publishing time (I hear 7am is best?), but sometimes that just doesn't work out.

I just post whenever I'm done writing, being in Australia 5pm for me is midnight for America, so it doesn't matter if I post late at night.

I'm aiming for one post per day, 3 times a week on my vet blog, and ocne a week on the D&D Blog. The vet blog is more personal and an aide to study, while the D&D blog will depend on when I get to play and what I'm planning. There's also less news related to D&D 3.5 edition sicne 4th edition came out.

If I make a 'dear readers' post though I'm intending to make up for it with another content post shortly after, but people arent' going to read a mountain of content in one go.

I try to post daily. I think that there is such a thing as posting too much, as eventually ideas would run out. Also readers would not be able to keep up! So it's good to go at a steady pace I think!
