That said, you can contact the owners of those links and ask them to update them to the new domain. Most site owners are willing to do that for a fellow blogger, and some directories allow you to edit the URL in your entry. If you have some backlinks in articles, see if you can edit those, too. So don't give up the backlinks without a fight. Make an attempt to get most of them switched over once the new domain is up and running, and then you should see your PR transfer over at the next update. Jay |

Might want to just start a new blog all together and leave the blogspot.com blog there. Keep it updated a bit, maybe steal but rewrite a few posts from it if it is applicable.
Add a link on the old blog to the new one. As you post on your new self-hosted blog, maybe create a little excerpt post on the old blogspot blog and a trackback to the new one. Seems like a lot of work to move everything over... let us know if you do how it went.

That's why I started self-hosted. It's just the smarter thing to do. Still, best of luck to you. I've got no experience in this stuff so listen to the other posters.

Ya, 301 redirects are the only way I know of to transfer PR from one domain to another, but since you wont have access to the .htaccess file for your your blog on blogger (which is needed for 301 redirects), you are out of luck ...
