Don't do it solely for the money.

Obviously, making money from a blog is great, but that shouldn't be the sole purpose, it should be a benefit of running an active, trustworthy and authorative blog.

Be Persistent, Positive and Pro-active with yourself and with your blog. Don't be a Pessimist, it will just drain your energy away . Easier said than done but if you could do just that, it will help you a lot not in just blogging but a lot of other life goals. Is just my 2 cents, hope it helps : )

Same tip for me, bloging takes ages, I reckon if somebody starts a blog, he needs to ask himself if he'd be ready to keep it running for six month without getting any traffic, if he's not, he probably should not start in the first place
