Domain Name Ideas for a Travel Blog?

I'm thinking of starting a travel blog. Any domain name suggestion?

I'd look around for older ones that are established and buy them out.

What would the blog be about is the first question... (I know travel but what kind?)

Lately people are customized there domain names around animals its really quirky since alot of decent domain names are taken these days so why not try something like Travelpigeon, travelmonkey, travelduck, travelswan lol something quirky like that then merge that animal into your blog header!

I write one called "Stop Having a Boring Life" and it gets lots of engine traffic, easy to remember, maybe a bit long but I like it. If you want to check it out, it's in my sig.

Get creative? We don't need another NomadicX or Travels of X or ...

I vote for travelduck, haha. That's an interesting suggestion of branding it around an animal; I like it. Can you tell us any more about the site? Will you be shooting for search engine visitors? Social media shares? The strategies definitely will differ depending on your goals.

I would avoid anything with the word travel in it. There are simply too many domain names with the word "travel" in them.

Instead, try using alternate words like adventure, voyage, or trek. It may help your blog stand out from the rest.

Rather than buy out older domains, I'd suggest checking out the site auctions at GoDaddy. You can get some older domain names for $10 or less there.

Hopefully just by surfing the available auction names you'll be able to find something that works for you.

i stumbleupon sites that associate animal names on their domain..i like the idea since its quite easy to remember.

Maybe something related to experiencing the world? Like xperiencetheworld, Aroundtheworld or seetheworld... I don't know if these are available or if you'll like'em.

I also like mccam87's ideas...Kind of fun and cool.

Thanks for all the suggestions! Looks to me most of the suggested names are already taken. Anyway, I think I'm going to integrate the travel blog into my existing blog. Will see...
