What makes you subscribe to a blog?

Often times around here, we're so set on talking about what we do as bloggers, that we sometimes forget that many of us also *read* blogs. If you're one of those people, what is it that makes you subscribe to a site (or bookmark it and return, etc)?

I agree, the content has to be useful. I don't want to get spam and if the newsletter ends up being a sales pitch for products then I usually drop the list subscription.

It should be interesting and unique, I usually stumble it and share with my friends if I find it useful..

Useful content, and if there are something important about information or ect, that I must always update and should not be missed

I subscribe only to those blogs that I enjoy reading, I love personal type blogs or those that have a specific purpose but still have a personal edge to them

It also helps if the blogger seems relatable and friendly I love blogs where the writer really tries to communicate with their readers

Things that put me off are too many adverts and too many posts a day (I read a lot of blogs and don't like to be spammed by one)

Well, I think its normal when blogger sells his/her services, and gives some low-pressure advertising. The most essential criteria: the posts should be written regularly

^Agree with the last post. I wouldn't visit a blog if it takes him/her to update even if he/she writes really well or has really good content. But I do appreciate a well written post or a photo post - I'd give a blogger more time to update if each post is quality.

I'm far more likely to subscribe to a bog if an RSS feed is available for new posts.

when the writer's opinion is really interesting, and if its an opinion I agree with that helps too
