Successful Blogger Has Blog Software & Tag Questions

I haven't been on here for a while mainly because I usually don't get replies to my questions, but I thought I'd give it one more try. Even though I've been blogging for the past few years and have been fairly successful- my general interest blog has about 125,000-150,000 unique monthly readers primarily from Google Searchers and I make a few hundred dollars a month off it, I'm still very unclear on 2 things for my wordpress blog which I publish under my own private domain and cost me I'm guessing $500 or so for the software and the online store software.

1. Is there a maximum number of Tag phrases you should include under Tags? I usually put in 10 - 30. If there is a maximum what is it and what is the effect of going past it? This was not answered previusly in Bloggeries.

2. Is there Free Wordpressss blog software that you can put under your own domain without anyone elses advertising- i.e. the blog domain is wxww.any name.com (typo is deliberate cause I dodn't want a link) If no, is there any free or inexpensive blog software software that would be under your total control and domain name and can be set for Adsense.

Tags on blogs are meant to help your readers navigate, in order to answer your question, so are you using the tags as a form of navigation for your readers or you are creating search engine visibility? If your tags are relevant both search engines and readers will be happy. I find using too many tags dilutes the purpose of tagging, if you want to optimize your posts do it with a good article, and keyword internal links instead.

I don't get your second question, it is not clear, so can't answer that.
