Hi Everyone, I have an important question I hope someone can help me with. I noticed that when I copy/paste a link for one of my blog stories and also in google search results the following text appears: » Blog Archive » (In between the blog name and post title) For example: wire to the ear » Blog Archive » Cassette tape nostalgia For: http://www.wiretotheear.com/2007/10/...talgia-rewind/ Now I see this text in header.php My question is: Should I get rid of it? Is it better with or without it for web searches? SEO? And: Is it safe to get rid of it? (The blog is only 10 days old) Thanks very much for any advice! |

For SEO, the typical advice is to show the post title first, and the blog name second. "Blog Archive" I'd remove entirely, unless you're trying to target that phrase as a keyword. But it isn't particularly related to the post itself, so I don't think it'd help much anyway. It should be safe to get rid of it. Google will catch up with the new title eventually, and it's better to do it now rather than when you have 10 months worth of posts instead of 10 days. Jay |
