Help/Advice Needed - Newbie

Good afternoon,

I'm new to this forum and at this very moment in time I'm looking for advice on the following:

I'm have chosen a theme for my blog and I have dowloaded it and uploaded it through filezilla. I have one problem and that is that I do have an about page, but it doesn't appear on the blog. Can anyone tell me what could be the problem that my "about page" doesn't appear on my blog.

Also the theme I've chosen has got advert (125x125) space on it. It contains two columns of these adverts. How can I edit these advert templates and put my own adverts on it. I'm not a genius on html either.

Any advice / help would be highly appreciated.

(Apologies for the way I've layed it out, but unfortunately I can't provide the proper url address, as I have received the following message when I submitted my reply: "To be able to post links or images your post count must be 15 or greater." As you will see, I've just started out. I have set most of the settings on my blog, but don't want to publish anything until I get my "about page" sorted.

I'm using wordpress.org. I've got the theme template from wordpress.org. It is called: intrepidity

Any help would be much appreciated.

just do one thing Go to your wordpress blog Dashboard.
from the dropdown list select pages >> new pages >> write about us page and all information then publish it.

then check your blog it shold live.

Thanks for your reply. I've followed your instructions, but still it doesn't appear on my blog.

Something isn't right and it's so frustrated as I don't know what is causing the problem/error.

This problem/error is keeping me from getting my blog out there.

So you can not publish new pages? They appear in links but they aren't linked properly?

hi, that's really big issue , i want to help you, so can you give your gmail id so we can chat live and solve your problem and if you dont have gmail id then provide yahoo id.

I checked your website and my advice is to use another WP template.. Present one seems to messy and like it is not finished.. all over are links to homepage, even there where it doesn't need to be..

On your site admin page under "Appearance > Widgets", do you have a "Pages" widget added to your sidebar?

If not drag pages from the middle of the screen to the sidebar.
