Tips for being funny

I am thinking a new blog that includes posts for becoming funny and tips on doing so. What do you think?

I think forced humour can be worse than no humour...

It's better for humour to come naturally than to make too much effort to be funny.

You could do a blog on the funny stuff you found on the internet or a collection of jokes instead. What do you think?

We are all born with different talents. Some people have a knack for being funny. Others go a different. Being funny is not just a skill, not just a talent;
it is a learned discipline, complete with rules. The number one tip for new comedians, who want to be funny, is to stop TRYING to be funny.

I think having a humorous blog is great (that's what I'm going for myself), but I'm not sure what you mean about helping people be funny. One person's "funny" is another's offensive/stupid remark.

If you mean helping with tips on delivering humor or seeing the humorous side of life, that could work, although I don't know how commercial it would be. It could be interesting to read about "how to use humor at work/in sales/with a spouse" or "things that are never funny", etc.

Very interesting idea for a blog. I think that there is potential though you would definitely have to work at it.

If you could give the tips to people and add a sense of humor to your blog at the same time I think that would add to the effect but, the main problem with the idea is, as was said above me, unfunny people are just unfunny no matter how hard they try.

Do you think you can really help them in their search for humor?

I also think the idea can be good, but difficult to pull off. Your writing style will have to be very sharp and funny in its own right for it to really work out. I could also see you struggling to come up with something to post about every day or two.

Have you thought about some posts you would make? I'd recommend writing a couple before you do anything drastic and honestly evaluating whether you think you could sustain them. I'm sure some members here (like me) would be happy to help more.
