That's incredibly imprsesive ~1500 a month for a site that old. You said hits though, not visitors? Either way where is the traffic coming from and I'd say it's a great start regardless. It's like rolling a BIG SNOWBALL. Takes forever but once you let it go it just keeps rolling.

Over the life of my blog (about three months), 16% of my traffic comes from Google organic searches. 10% is Stumble Upon, 10% is direct, 5% comes from a link from JustFree.com to my tutorial for new bloggers using JustFree.com, 4% comes from Yahoo Answers (when I have spare time I answer questions for which my blog has a great answer in a post), and the other 55% is dribs and drabs spread out over other blogs linking to mine, MyBlogLog, links in my email signature, etc.

I get between 30 and 200 visitors per day.

My traffic comes from :

*
Direct Traffic 1,138 (60.21%)
*
Referring Sites 698 (36.93%)
*
Search Engines 54 (2.86%)

... according to google analytics.

Since I have a personal blog, I'm not looking for a lot of hits but more for returning visitors, so I'm okay with that
