What would a perfect blog look like to you? Mine: Every post will be short, sweet, and entertaining. Every comment I add will get a response from the writer and hopefully from other commenters. It updates once/day. The community around the blog knows each other. Lots of great pictures with the content. It would organize its posts into the categories: Silly, Serious, and Evil.

There are many ways a blog could be "perfect" and they could be very contradictory. I find that a "perfect" blog is something that is determined by the reader as much as the author. Content is the most important factor in my "perfect" blog if there is good content it could be a long post or a short post and it would not matter to me. It could be updated daily, weekly or monthly because, if it's something worth reading it doesn't matter to me how often it's written. The community around the "perfect" blog should definitely be active and friendly and the author should contribute frequently to comments written on each post. Pictures go along with content. Reading a wall of text on the computer screen can cause eye strain very easily it helps having some visual aids to break it up especially with longer posts. I agree 100% with organization and I wish blogger had something like wordpress categories because labels just doesn't cut it.

To me the perfect blog is informative (on some topic I like!), regularly updates, has a community of people adding life to the comments, and either has very few ads or no ads.

Finding and perfecting a topic for your new blog is not at all difficult. There’s no mysterious super secret formula for success. You just have to know where to look and there’s a perfect place to start no matter how far you are in the brainstorming process.

It should be passionate about what they are writing, relate to the reader, funny in a non-obvious way and addictive! This is based on personal blogs which are my favourite kind

i like personal blogs the best, and preferably ones with lots of text and pictures. i tend to gravitate towards style blogs, because essentially that is my main interest. but through this forum i've discovered a lot of other kinds of blogs that also grab my interest.

Interesting and well written and researched content. Clean, simple layout. Easy to navigate. Good community of commenters. Length of the content doesn't bother me, although I probably prefer slightly more lengthy posts, as long as the writer is able to deliver it well. If not, next blog.
