Do you have cPanel in your webhost? if yes, this video step by step tutorial on installing wordpress using fantastico, or with ftp, or by uploading files, you can choose whichever easiest for you.

I recommend you install with fantastico, because it is fast and easy, one thing to remember, if you want to delete or uninstall wordpress, you have to do it with fantastico again.

A lot of webhosts can install Wordpress automatically for you; all you have to do is choose the directory. I've used both GoDaddy and HostMonster, and both had options to do this kind of installation. Saved me a lot of time, considering I know very little about PHPmyAdmin, databses, and PHP.

Check if your host offers anything like this.
