Use all kinds of media to support your blog. Link it to linkedin, twitter etcetera.

First increase the traffic to your blog and then as much visitors will click on ads you get more income.

Make sure the blog has way more content than ads as well. Too many ads can be a turn off, and that can lead to a decline of blog visitors. Less visitors= less income.
