Very funny idea. I like it Does anyone read those FAQ's at all? I have a FAQ in my dating site Free Online Dating Community Site for Tattoo Art and Piercings lovers to show their BodyArt for Love Match and haven't yet noticed that people read it first before signing up. |

Well it depends on your target audience but most blogs do not.

I think FAQs got overused for a while and need to get back to basics, they're only needed if you're frequently getting asked the same questions, and if that's the case with a blog then you're probably doing something wrong anyway.

My blogs have an "answers" tag, for tagging posts that answer possible questions. For example, I keep using the word "decant" and "a decant" in the perfume blog, and realized that some people may have no clue what I'm talking about, so I wrote a "What's a decant?" post. Now, that would have worked all very well if I linked the word "decant" to that post when I use it in my other posts, but, well, I don't. I keep forgetting. So the scheme doesn't work all that well. Maybe I should make a FAQ page that points to the Answers posts. Or something.

I must be an oddball then because I always read a FAQ if I see one posted. Sure speeds things up if you don't want to spend a lot time searching for the obvious.

I think I only read FAQs if I'm in need of getting a question answered. Personally, I don't feel the need to have a FAQ page unless I'm getting a lot of questions via e-mail and it gets repetitive.

I agree that it depends on what you are blogging about to whether or not it makes sense to have a FAQ page on it |

| I have a very prominent link to my FAQ page and I it driving a ton of traffic. I can't say if people are actually reading the FAQ or not, but I do know that quite a few people follow the link to it...

I tend to check FAQ's on sites to make sure that I adhere to their terms and conditions, but for blogs, might not really be necessary.
