Default How do you define 'good blog traffic?'

I notice all the threads about traffic tend to be popular. Of course the reason why is obvious!! We ALL want more traffic to our site. But we probably all have different ideas of what is "very good blog traffic" so I'm starting a poll.

So the idea here is 'how many visitors per day' - This is NOT how many page views, but rather how many absolutely unique visitors per day is good blog traffic? Just curious about the varied answers we'll see...

I think it's all relative. It varies from blog to blog and from niche to niche.

If you have a super-targeted niche, you may get fewer unique visitors. However, those visitors would be worth a lot more than crappy, generic traffic. It's quality over quantity in this case - 75 visitors a day could be worth a fortune.

On the flip-side, maybe you don't care about targeted traffic and just want to see big numbers. In this case 400+ is nothing. Some simple link-building and general marketing could get you here in no time. It's quantity over quality over here - but your 400+ visitors won't be worth anything in the long run.

Since I am new to Blogging I have seen a range of traffic. If I could get 25 consistent people a day I would be happy. 250 or more would overwhelm me since I do try to answer and look at the websites of everyone that leaves a comment.

I'll take 25 targeted visitors any day over 200 tirekickers.

That's true if you are monetizing with adsense or selling things through affiliate programs

There are a number of people who launch new sites, get traffic, then sell the sites within 12 weeks (before traffic starts to fall off) - in that case they are not bothered about quality - but some smart would-be buyers do ask searching questions about where the traffic comes from
