I've been blogging for 4 months, and I'm just now starting to understand terms like, "PR" "backlink" and that kind of thing... My question is this... Is there some tool out there that tells you all your backlinks? So when I say backlink, I mean things like this - Alltop - Top Starbucks News

I have Google Alerts telling me about new links to me. I don't know where I got the instructions for this, but I see a set of instructions here: http://www.jaankanellis.com/find-new...google-alerts/ I also search Google for: "chickenfreaksobsessions.blogspot.com" -site:chickenfreaksobsessions.blogspot.com I don't remember what told me to do this either. I believe that it finds links to me that aren't located on my own site. (Hmmm. I should remove all of my other sites, shouldn't I?) But I think that if you sub your website into this, it would find your backlinks for you. I think.

I just found this fascinating tool which tells you how many people have tweeted about each of your posts: site:experimentgarden.blogspot.com – Topsy I had no idea that so many people had tweeted about some of my posts.

Reputable SEO software would however you can Google "Backlink checker" and you get a pretty good list of free ones - just type in the domain name. Used to be able to use the Google command - allinlink: domain name - and it would tell you but I don't think it works anymore if you have a keyword rich domain of which the words might be mentioned regularly in content. |

On wordpress.com it shows you backlinks to your blog automatically. Other than that I just check on google backlinks.

| I believe Yahoo shows most of the backlinks to your website. But again, it doesn't mean Google will "see" the same backlinks as Yahoo
