Put them on your myspace / facebook / twitter profile.

Add them to your email sig.

Forums, here or anywhere.

Their are ways to put them on search engines, but most require you to pay.

No matter what you do, never stop focusing on great content. In the long run, the content will drive people to your site.

I use twitter mostly. I have a facebook account but rarely check in there and I used to use Plurk but haven't been there in a long time.

I like to put my blog postings on Facebook sometimes, and always on my Nontraditional Facebook page at Nontraditional Students | Facebook.

Since it is a Facebook page for students going back to school, it goes along with my Nontrad Student Blog at The Non-Traditional Student Blog. As long as my site, page, or link has the same kind of theme, this helps get traffic from people who are interested in that kind of thing (in this case, nontraditional students).

Also, making pages at other locations, like Squidoo and MySpace, can definitely help get traffic too. I have not used Plurk yet, but I do use Twitter at betsyanne (betsyanne) on Twitter and E. Sheppard (Nontrads) on Twitter. I use them for different pages I have. I hope this helps.

Also, I like to try to post often... at least every other day on a good week.

I just checked back in with Plurk last night and I really don't like the way it looks. Twitter is much easier to use.

Use as many venues to promote your blog as possible; Twitter, Facebook and quality comments that relate to the blog you are commenting on. I also use feedburner as a way to subscribe users to my RSS feed.
