Exclamation Google snake pit

I read a very informative article about that about 3 years ago, highlighting the fact that you are giving away trade secrets to a commercial enterprise - i.e. your traffic stats - but that hasn't stopped people thowing themselves into Google's snake pit

Ouch ... something bit me!

20-30 visits a day... it is good for a month year old site. But don't stop there

Starting is the hardest part. What I would suggest is setting aside a good 2 hours a night to actually go out there and promote your blog with as many comments, backlinks, etc. that you can. The most important thing you'll want to do is to get your blog noticed by all of the numerous search engines out there.

Once you have established a good backlog of posts, submit to every search engine that you can think of, take part in sites that list top blogs, and continue to churn out content. It'll take some time but eventually you should be able to generate a good flow of visitors from many different areas.

I've done pretty much all that but I'm starting to get worried now.. 20 visits has dropped down to just 4 a day.. I hadn't updated for a while but still that means there's no regular customers.

Any other ideaS?? ps i posted a few comments but didn't really get me anywhere. How can you do it so it works?
