People with their own sites on their own hosting accounts simply log into their control panel to access their stats - such as visitors per day, sites sending the visitors, search phrases used to find the site, etc. |

There is also a wordpress.com plugin to get traffic stats.

If you are using Blogger then you should install Google Analytics. This will give you the power to track your visitors and find out how many came to your blog and what pages they viewed.

I use Statcounter too. I like it because they keep track of all my projects/web pages and blogs. I can see where people have come to my site lately, and also it keeps track of some key phrases that people have used to get to my sites. They keep all kinds of records about your site. Google Analytics is also very good. I agree with Nathan about that. I also have used HiStats (but this is a pay service after a point) Histats.com Counter ,the free web stats and stat counter, hit counter, free web tracker and tracking tools, professional and free!!, and the free Bravenet counter at Hit Counter from Bravenet. I also have used SiteMeter in the past. It is here: Site Meter - Counter and Statistics Tracker. I don't go to these other traffic counter sites much anymore though. StatCounter is my hands-down favorite. |
