Ads and Google Rank

I recently read putting adsense on your site too soon can hurt your google ranking, my blog got adsense before it's first post, I just removed adsense from the blog, but have a couple amazon book reviews, will those amazon ads harm my rankings too?

My new blog, the one I am talking about is a week old today, google analytics reports 129 visits with 310 page views...considering this exceeds my previous month old blog's stats, i think its going better

As far as I know Amazon ads aren't going to hurt rankings. Putting ad sense on the blog too soon can hurt you though.

I don't think adsense has anything to do with your ranking. You ranking is calculated with all the incoming links to your site.

Hurts your ranking by getting your site banned by Google

Google seem to have a policy of checking all new blog sites within 1 month of them going online

If they see Adsense ads they may decide you built the site just to make money from adsense - then your site disappears from Google

It's happened to me with a whole batch of new wordpress sites - now I wait 30 days before putting adsense on the sites

I'm learning about page ranking and the importance of it. I know a little bit about adsense, but I don't quite understand how the whole process works. How does adsense impact the ranking and how is it calculated? Thanks

Google have always insisted that adwords and adsense have nothing to do with how well a website's pages do in google's search engine results pages

The only connection adsense has with google's search results listings is that if google decide that your site's purpose is simply to make money from the adsense ads on your pages, and not to provide valuable content to the Internet, then your site's rankings will be seriously effected - because google will block your site's appearance in their search results pages - i.e. a google ban

google is a funny one they do what they want really :P i wouldnt put adsense on straight away any way because you only will be getting couple of visits a day and they proberly wont click them anyway so wait a month as said above not worth the risk

Google search engineers have nothing to do with the google adsense team

the search engineers take care of rankings, and the adsense team take care of adsense

I can assure you from bitter experience that if you use a keyword domain and put adsense on a blog site from the start, you will have your site banned by google before the site is even 1 month old
