Using Yahoo Answers

I have used yahoo answers before to help out friends with traffic, just started to use it towards my blog yesterday. Some things to keep in mind when using yahoo answers is to always remember you are there to help others, not promote your blog, that comes second. Give good informative answers and be sure you know what you are talking about, go for answers related to your blogs topic...I blog about bonsai, there were 3 questions about bonsai there yesterday, I answered all 3 to the best of my ability (I'm Cor)


Does anyone know what kind of bonsai this is? - Yahoo! Answers

What helps make indoor plants bigger? - Yahoo! Answers

Why has my bonsai lost all of its leaves? - Yahoo! Answers

saw a decent boost of traffic over that, and 3 best answers means if these questions come up on somebodys search down the road and they look they will find my blog url high up on the page

anybody else using got some tips to add?

That makes sense to me. What you might do as well is put those same questions and answers, or very similar ones, on your blog. If they have been asked in Yahoo Answers then there is interest in them and they would also work well on your blog, because people will search Google for answers and find your blog.

Haven't thought about that Nathan, yahoo answers has a "badge" you can put on your blog to show off the questions you ask and the answers you give...maybe something to think about

Yahoo Answers! is helpful for backlinks as long as your answers are useful.

using yahoo answers is great. i get alot of traffic from them just make sure u don't abuse or they'll disable your account.

this is a great idea as long as you give creditable answers, not sure how much traffic it will send you though.

I've had soem traffic through it, but it takes a lot of work to maintain. Some niches also have more politics than others.
