How to bring traffic to my blog?

I feel its very tough to bring visitors to your blog! how often i should post???

My blog is less than 2 months old so I am still rather new. For the first 4 weeks I posted about 2.5 times per week. My blog style is not a personal blog, so that amount is ok for me. However, I have been very busy the last 2 weeks and have had a difficult time making 1 post every 6 days.

Over this short time though, I have found that I still get hits every day, even though there are no new posts. When I post something new, I let all my friends on facebook know and my views rise for the next 48 hours. The bottom line for me, is that I posted consistently in the beginning to get the followers, then when I needed some slack time, it was fine.

I try to think of new ways to market my blog every day to grab a few more readers. Read the posts here and you will find all kinds of creative ideas to market your blog!

I would also suggest to throw a few of your posts to social media sites, two big traffic contributors to me are reddit, and stumbleupon. Also with thanksgiving and christmas coming up, both being big cooking holidays, you could write an article for things to cook or certain recipes at the end of the article throw in something like "For more great Thanksgiving recipes, visit www. your blog. com"

Lots of people will be looking for thanksgiving and christmas recipes and it should help boost your traffic for the time being.

As post better day is better if you have a new blog! try commenting with your fellow bloggers on the same niche, do some forum posting, directory submission etc can drive you fair traffic!

it is always good to join social networking groups like twitter, facebook, multiply and other forums related to your site.

social networking can be great results. Import your blog feed into the notes feature on your facebook account. You can even try having a fan page for your blog and inviting your facebook friends as well as other people to become a fan of your blog.
also creating squidoo lenses or hubpages on the topic and including the rss feed for your blog.
