Hi everyone. Today I want to share my plan on how I'm now making a pretty good income with my blogs. Keyword "blogs". If you really want to earn big with blogging then you need multiple blogs. You can't put all of your eggs in one basket. If that basket breaks then so does your eggs and pocket! So here's my plan on how I did it. * I first started off not knowing jack about blogging/internet marketing. I use to stay on the forums all day and night trying to find the next get rich quick scheme with my blog. Being the quick analyzer like I am, I found out that this was getting me nowhere so I set my self a goal. I set my goal to be making a "descent" income with my blog by September 30th 2009 and if it failed then I would go apply at McDonalds .I started putting things into action with all of the great information I found online. The top 3 people who's responsible for my success is Franck Sylvestre,Willie Crawford and Matt Cutts. Franck and Willie are Internet Marketers and Matt works for Google. I made these 3 people my only main focuses to take notes from. You see, that's the thing where most people fail. You can't listen to too many people. I took the top 3 people who knew what they were talking about and stuck to them. But anyways, let's cut to the chase. Here's my blueprint. *Choose a profitable niche and start a blog. *Start off with one blog. "Just one" and get use to submitting a post everyday. Now if that post is of value then you syndicate it to places like EzineArticles.Com, GoArticles.Com,Buzzle.Com,Etc Etc. When you're submitting posts, if it gets approved, you get a backlink and viewers! That's why it's a must to blog quality! *The question whether or not to put that post on your blog first or submit it is answered here. PUT IT ON YOUR BLOG FIRST. There's a lot of speculation when it comes to that but trust me, just do that and you'll be fine. *With that article you have the choice to "spin" it for more mileage. What do I mean by spinning it? It simply means to change 60 to 70% of it so it's not recognized by the search engines. *Writing an article and submitting it can be a bit of a hassle, that's when outsourcing comes in handy. For finding good article writers I recommend elance.com. Another good one is 99centarticles.com. You can easily get an article written for 4-5 bucks. I think 99centarticles does it in packages but overall its still pretty good. *Emailing list- Now I should have talked about this above, but it just came to mind. This is how you're going to have a long term income. This is how you're going to turn those visitors into opt-ins and potential customers. One thing that you should always remember to do is build an emailing list. An opt-in form should be on your blog from day 1. Now an emailing service I recommend is aweber's. It's about 19.95 a month but with the first month being a dollar. So why build an emailing list? You ask. Well you are reading this to learn how to make money with a blog correct? Ok, so with the emailing list you're going to be advertising whatever it is that's going to earn you money! It may be affiliate products or membership signups...etc. But this is your auto-pilot money making s.o.b *With your opt-in form you should always offer something of value to get people to opt-in. It may be a free e-book or whatever. I usually go with the free e-book route. You can get 30 free e-books here. Now with these ebooks you have resell right so you can do whatever you want with them! Use them to build up your emailing list. In a nutshell. I started off with 1 blog, submitted valuable posts in my niche dail, syndicated them and built backlinks plus a large mailing list. I then started earning enough to hire people so I can create more blogs and do things at my convenience. The rest is history. Jeff |

Thanks for the info; I do the article post route, of which a few articles (with relevant keywords) related to one of my hotel blog posts (as in "spin it" as you describe) which ranked on the serps. This increased readers (or specifically, I believe, searchers looking for hotel bookings in NZ) to my blog which increased conversions for bookings considerably, and is now relatively consistent. But took a while to research/modify/think about the articles though. Never thought about the e-mail opt in, will look further. I have thought about creating free e-books, but want to minimize that approach - as worried visitors might circulate them on p2p sites/duplicate/email to others, etc, and thus avoiding/bypassing my related hotel blog. One person I learnt from, is Grizz from make money online, of which I used some of his tips.

I appreciate the tips, but I guess I don't understand the importance of a mailing list. I actually HATE the "sign up for my mailing list" tactic as a visitor to sites. Who wants this crap? NOBODY.... right? I guess I just don't understand how the mailing list makes you money, all it does seems to do is give you permission to spam a group of people. Do people actually stay on your mailing list, read the content, and buy stuff? I guess I'm always overestimating the intelligence of the consuming masses, but what specifically do you do with the mailing list to make money? Are you selling your mailing lists to other marketers? The whole thing just seems like a shady operation to me. I'm convinced that there are ways to make money without joining the herd of shady internet people who send you spam that you didn't realize you were signing up for. IMO, to the common internet user, it's still spam even if I entered my email address when I signed up. Last edited by Buzzlord; November 3rd, 2009 at 08:27 PM.. |

Thanks! buzz lord you'd be surprised how many people with give an email address nowadays. Most folks have or will create a secondary account to have for things they might consider full of promo or spam for that matter. I have a real estate site(not blog) and have only gotten a few fake or non legit addresses. If you tell people your info won't be sold, etc. and word your capture properly its not that bad. Its 2010, people realize everything is taking place online. |
