Default Link Exchanging

As we know, getting inbound/outbound links have lots to do within the page-rank and popularity of our sites.

Go ahead and discuss your thoughts on link exchanging here! Do you think it's worth the hassle? Would you pay to get your link on a good (page ranked site)?

Let's Get er rollin!

I'm not sure how effective link exchange really is. I would assume that having your link on a high profile website or blog would increase your traffic. I've noticed that nothing beets good content, and good SEO however. I've also discovered that sharing blog posts within twitter tweets has made a difference as well.

To my (newbie) understanding, exchanging links helps your SEO?

Yep, within reason. At some point, of course, you can exchange as many links as you want, but if your onsite SEO is no good it won't help you. Basically you have to work onsite, and offsite building links.

Link exchanges help with SEO but not as good as one-way backlinks. I think I have done some link exchanges but you just don't get the same link juices as if it was just the other site linking to you and nothing in return.

I think that's a big reason why the top commentators plugins are so popular so people are rewarded for commenting with a one way backlink to their site.

Can't say anything more - original content and professional use of SEO techniques are better ways of high ranking in Google.

Link Exchange is good but only when you know how to do it.

For example, if your blog specially target on automation, and if you exchange link with blog/web which not realted to automation, it will actually make your site ranking lower.

Further more, the quality of link exchange site also very important.

Link Mine is not really rcmd.

Try those with Google PR 3 and above

well tbh where you said "would you pay to get your link on a good (page ranked site) well i am sick of paying for pay per click just to expensive for me i would rather pay a monthly fee and know how much i am paying so at the moment i am advertising on link referel which is great and its only about 30 dollars also there is a great blog on page 1 of google which i am thinking of advertising on $40 for a text link but if you look at it you are getting a incoming link from a good ranked website also decent traffic so if you get a couple of paid advertisments to your website, so at the moment i am paying $30 and will be paying $40 that is $70 dollars a month, and i will make more than that so its a profit. once you are making more buy another advertsment some where else and build it up that way, so in the future you might be paying out $600 a month imagine how much you would be making
