Google can't find my backlinks

I launched my blog about 2 weeks ago and in that time have received some links back to my site. The trouble is that I can't find them either on the backwards link tool on my Google toolbar or on Yahoo. My blogspot address is fowarded to my own domain which is masked. Could this be the problem?

For one thing it takes a lot of time for Google and Yahoo to catch up with backlinks. Another thing that is taken into account is the value or worth of the links. If it is only a PR 1 or PR 0 link then it probably won't show up.

Let's put it like this. I have thousands of links to Inkweaver Review. Only 288 are judged truly valuable to show up in the site: query.

So you have to wait, and you also have to focus on getting links which are high value, not just any old link.

Like Nathan said, it takes time for the search engines to recognize your backlinks, and it will take time and effort on your part to build an impressive list of backlinks. Just try to interact with other blogs and websites in your niche and don't force it.
